The AKL – International Laser Technology Congress is one of Europe’s leading events for applied laser technology and photonics. With more than 500 international participants, the congress once again provided an important platform for innovation and professional exchange.

Key topics included AI-driven process optimization, digitalized production systems, additive manufacturing, quantum technologies, and next-generation precision applications.

For Eitzenberger GmbH, one topic was particularly relevant: the growing importance of air bearing technology in modern laser and photonics systems. Increasing demands for precision, dynamics, and long-term stability make air bearings a key enabling technology for laser processing, metrology, semiconductor manufacturing, and optical automation.
