EZ-8046 Self-Aligning Precision for Assembly Processes

Eitzenberger introduces the new EZ-8046 Self-Aligning Unit, a compact aerostatic spherical air bearing designed for ultra-precise alignment and positioning applications. By combining frictionless air bearing technology with a spherical design, the system enables passive self-alignment in three degrees of freedom and achieves contact surface parallelism of less than 2 µm.

Once aligned, an integrated magnetic preload securely locks the position without drift. The compact unit is ideally suited for precision assembly and bonding processes in semiconductor manufacturing and other high-accuracy applications. Thanks to its flexible integration options, the EZ-8046 can be implemented in both new machine designs and existing production systems, helping manufacturers improve alignment accuracy, process reliability, and overall product quality.
